Citizens will pay the Consequences of Increase in Gas Price

The Association of Employers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) expressed dissatisfaction with the announcement of the Federal Government and its ministry on the increase of gas by 30 percent.

In the statement, it was said that such a decision was not surprising given the fact that “there was a continuous talk of the relocation of the economy in the Federation, and only in the past months there were three decisions that impose additional burdens on employers”.

The Association states that citizens will also feel the consequences of that decision because companies are forced to increase the price of gas, so that citizens, as end-consumers of products, will ultimately pay a higher price.

They have warned about the big difference between the cost of citizens ‘and businesses’ fees, for citizens it is 80 BAM per 1,000 cubic meters of gas, and for commercial companies 260 BAM, which is more than three times.

They called on the authorities to develop a strategy for using natural gas in a way that would stimulate the economy to use natural gas.
