City of Sarajevo’s Budget is over 20 million BAM

The City Council of the City of Sarajevo today adopted the budget for the next year in the amount of 20,660,500 BAM.

Amendments were accepted, which relate to ensuring the budgetary prerequisites for the realization of the program of the event marking the 40th anniversary of ZOI 84 in Sarajevo.

Amendments related to the co-financing of the construction of a vertical platform for disabled people on the first part of the stairs of Orašačka Street in Pofalići and support for the work of the city hall “Mirsad Hurić” in Goražde became an integral part of the budget, among others.

The budget will finance the following projects: renovation and reconstruction of the Astronomical Observatory Trebević, renovation and reconstruction of the Bistrica, reconstruction, restoration and color treatment of facades in the city of Sarajevo, design, construction and maintenance of bicycle paths, the Skywalk project, preschool and school renovation projects facilities and infrastructure, as well as other projects in the function of city development.

In addition to the budget, the Work Program of the City Council was also adopted, and the basic conditions for the work of the organs of the City of Sarajevo in the following year were created.

Among others, the City of Sarajevo’s International Cooperation Program and the Program for erecting monuments and artistic sculptures of importance to the City of Sarajevo, in which the City of Sarajevo is an investor for the year 2024, were adopted, the City Administration announced.
