The Award Committee of the Sixth of April Award of the City of Sarajevo submitted the final list of candidates to the City Council. After the second round, it was decided that the second candidate in the category of culture and art, besides Emir Hadzihafizbegovic, will be the vocal soloists of the group Ambasadori.

Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanovic and the Medical Association BIMA are left in the category of healthcare and social protection, while Centrotrans-Eurolines and the Director of BBI Bank Amer Bukvic are left in the category of business. Karate club Bosna and Zdravko Stojnic are left in the category of sports.

Moreover, due to the large number of candidates proposed to receive this award posthumously, the Committee also discussed a proposal to introduce another awarding ceremony of the Award of the City of Sarajevo, which will have a different name but the same “importance”. This award would be posthumously awarded to important individuals on November 25.

Furthermore, the criteria for proposing candidates for the Sixth of April Award will be on a higher level next year.

The session of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo is scheduled for March 14, at 10 AM, at which will be decided who will receive the prestigious award after secret voting.
