Coalition of Three: BiH is grateful for all NATO Support

The parties of the ruling Troika, SDP BiH, Narod i Pravda and Naša stranka believe that the highest officials of NATO and the USA recognized that in Bosnia and Herzegovina there are pro-state forces that very responsibly and not at all populist lead key processes at different levels of government despite so many obstructions.

It is important that not only anti-state actors are clearly defined, but also those parties and individuals who have always put personal and party interests before the interests of the state – these days they are clearly marked as forces that cannot be partners with anyone and anywhere. The possibility of BiH starting negotiations on membership in the European Union and this kind of support from NATO and the United States clearly indicate that we are moving in the right direction. It is an arduous path, but it is the path to our key strategic goals – the Troika parties announced after the visit of top NATO officials and Assistant Secretary of State of the United States of America James Obrajen to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They especially appreciate the support that NATO provides to the process of reform of the Armed Forces of BiH, which remains one of the key state institutions.

“Strong and modernized Armed Forces and cooperation with NATO are important especially in conditions of challenges on the global level, but also as a response to various domestic actors who question the sovereignty, integrity and independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” these parties emphasize.

For them, NATO was and remains committed to preserving security in these areas, with the key foreign policy goal of our country being membership in NATO and the EU.

They say that “O’Brien confirmed the importance of state property that undoubtedly belongs to the state, rejected attacks on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which in this format and with these powers was one of the key segments of the peace that was agreed in Dayton, and a particularly important message is that any anti-state policy, no matter who it comes from, does not and will never have the support of the most powerful state”.

According to them, this is a clear message that the path of agreement between domestic actors is desirable, but that on that path blackmail and demands that would collapse the state and state institutions are not acceptable, and support for the high representative to react to such demands is clearly indicated.

Messages addressed in this way should be, say the parties, a message to domestic political actors who are trying to use the Euro-Atlantic integration to impose their own policies that further break down and destabilize the state.

SDP BiH, Narod i Pravda and Our Party are grateful for all support to the state of BiH so far, and expect the continuation of such support, as well as actions following everything that was said in the previous days, it was stated in the joint statement of the parties of the Troika.
