Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadić met with Ambassador Bruce G. Berton, Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

At the meeting, there was discussion about activities related to the prosecution of war crimes cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the efforts which the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is investing together with partner institutions in both BiH and the region in combating the impunity of war crimes and speeding up the prosecution of cases, as well as projects and activities that the OSCE Mission to BiH is being implementing together with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and judicial institutions with the aim of strengthening the rule of law.

During the meeting, it was emphasised that the cooperation of the two institutions is extremely important for the rule of law and that the OSCE Mission to BiH and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH have the same goal, namely the efficiency of the judiciary and the delivery of justice for victims.

The efforts and activities being carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH have been assessed as a significant step towards the achievement of justice, and the activities of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina as an important support to judicial institutions in BiH.

The OSCE Mission to BiH and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will continue to implement the ongoing projects aimed at strengthening the rule of law.
