Commemoration for Muhammad Ali in Sarajevo today

muhamedDepartment for Education, Culture and Sports of the Novi Grad Municipality, in cooperation with the Boxing Club Novi Grad, is organizing a commemoration for the great athlete and humanist, Muhammad Ali.

Introduction speeches will be held by the journalist Vehid Gunić, author of the book about Muhammad Ali, famous sportscaster Kemal Baluković and boxer Almedin Fetahović, winner of the first golden medal for BiH in 1993 at the Mediterranean Games in France.

Ali was a role model for generations of the 20th century and, in addition to the achievements in the ring, he is also remembered after the selfless support he provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war in the 1990s.

Commemoration will be held today at 2 pm in the multimedia hall of the Municipality. On this occasion, inserts from some of the most famous fights of Muhammad Ali in his career will be screened.
