Company for the production of metal assemblies from Switzerland will open its production plant in the settlement of Hrnici (Trnopolje) under the name “SB Laser”. A contract on co-financing the reconstruction of part of the public road and the construction of the transformer station for the needs of the production plant that will be constructed was recently signed by Milenko Djakovic, the Mayor of Prijedor and Edhem Besic, the director of “SB Laser”. The value of this project amounted to about 90,000 BAM. The city of Prijedor will finance 40 % of this amount, while “SB Laser” will finance 60 %.

“We contacted the leadership of the Mechanical School in Prijedor already, and they submitted a list of eight of their most successful students at the moment, and we are planning for this school to conduct training for welders as well. Moreover, we found two men that we want to take to Switzerland to introduce them with the work process and requirements of our clients. We agreed for one of the trainings to be done in the cabinets of Cromex company,” said Besic.

He also added that they are planning to hire about eight workers at first, and since they already have signed contracts with some companies, their final plan is to hire about 30 workers.

Mayor Djakovic also expressed his wish that Besic’s business plan will take place successfully and that as many qualified young workers as possible will come to work here.

The value of the total investment amounts to a total of 2 million CHF.
