After two years, the implementation of the project “Thematic Routes of Medieval Herceg Lands – Theme Medieval” was completed, in total amount of 466.933.55 euros.

It is a project funded by the European Union under the IPA Cross Border Cooperation Program of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Montenegro 2007-2013.

The objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable economic development and the establishment of cross border cooperation between economic acters in tourism and the primary sector in the border area of BiH and Montenegro.

“Throughout the project, numerous activities have been carried out, from the asphalting of the access road to the fortress of Herceg Stjepan in Ljubuski, to the printing of promotional material and the presentation of a short movie ‘Humska zemlja’,” it is said to Fena from the Development Agency of West Herzegovina Canton – HERAG.”

Also, information tables and signs were set up, and costumes for Herceg Stjepan’s guard were also bought.

“There are 21 members who make a new tourist product. Members of rural households, restaurants/motels, craftsmen, cultural and historical sites, wineries and others make a thematic trail intended for tourists, casual travelers and all other curious people who want to know the destination which they are visiting in detail, “ HERAG emphasized.
