What was concluded at the Meeting of Director of FIPA and Central Bank in BiH?

meeting FIPA Central BankDirector of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) Gordan Milinic visited the Central Bank of BiH with associates and members of the Board of FIPA.

At the meeting, Milinic introduced Governor Dr. Senad Sofic and associates about the Agency’s activities in the field of attracting foreign investors and the support that the Agency provides to investors since the launch of activities until the completion of the project.

He noted that the main objective of FIPA is bringing as many foreign investors as possible and a significant increase in foreign direct investments. Therefore, the Agency has intensified its work and started activities in a firm commitment to provide the maximum contribution in order for BiH to become a better place for a safe investment.

Governor Dr. Senad Softic emphasized the importance of improving cooperation among all the institutions and improving the inflow of foreign investments and the promotion of BiH as a destination of interest to foreign investors. The importance of involving all relevant parties in the presentation of data, which influence on the formation of the overall image of BiH and serve as an indicator during the decision-making process.

They talked about the overall statistic that the Central Bank makes, as one of the important functions, especially the statistic of direct foreign investments, which occupies an important place in the activities of FIPA. The agency was informed about the advancement of statistic regarding the matter and they also agreed on the exchange of data in continuation of good cooperation between the two institutions.

Taking into account the downward trend of foreign investments in BiH in recent years, participants of the meeting agreed that attracting foreign investment is an important task for all institutions in BiH.
