After a long time, the presidents of the parties that form the government in the FBiH; Bakir Izetbegovic (SDA), Fahrudin Radoncic (SBB) and Dragan Covic (HDZ), held a meeting and discussed the key issues of functioning of the coalition, as well as the current political situation in the country.
Party leaders were optimistic after the meeting, and stated that the meeting was held in a good atmosphere.
“The meeting was held in a very constructive atmosphere. There is no conflict, but rather problems that we must solve. We took care of some things within the coalition, and we will directed the energy towards the strengthening of institutions,” said Fahrudin Radoncic.
It was emphasized that a broader meeting of the parties will be organized during the next week.
“We have agreed to create a bigger meeting next week on non-construction of the highway, some assumptions that we are deliberately working through Bosnia, and not through Herzegovina, redirection of funds in the cantons, subsidies in agriculture and many more, where we will try to define where are the frustrations,” said Izetbegovic.
The leader of the HDZ BiH, Dragan Covic, agreed with his colleagues and said that this meeting was used to tell everything they resent to each other.
“We used the meeting to tell each other what is the problem and what is the source of problem. I openly said what I thought, but I also heard opinions regarding my work. For me is inconceivable that we have a partnership where the partners, which are required by the law to agree, do not meet and outvote at the end. Meetings of the Presidency of BiH cannot be held if we don’t agree before. Therefore, we will have a series of meetings at all levels in the upcoming days. I think that we can start all processes in BiH in that way. I am confident that our path is the path of strategic partnership,” concluded Covic.
