Consortium threatens to Blockage BiH if Demands are not met

The Logistics Consortium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the largest interest group of transporters in the country, has told the competent institutions that they will introduce the French model of blockade on the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina if their demands are not met by September 1.

Among other things, in the statement they state that they are demanding the implementation of the AETR agreement – 2,160 hours of stay in the EU, freedom of movement, the right to work, reform of the work of the ITA, harmonization of inspections and fiscal relief.

“We are not asking for privileges, we are asking for respect for the international agreement that BiH has signed. The tachograph is evidence, and rest time must be recognized as stay. Arrests have stopped, but bans on drivers are still in force,” they said.

As major problems they are facing, they stated that the time spent at the borders has been increased to 16.5 hours, that inspection services are not synchronized, that the ITA does not respond to calls from the sector, and that administrative costs and barriers are increasing daily.

They claim that the protest is not against anyone, but rather that it is a fight for the survival of a sector that employs 47,000 people, invests billions of BAM annually, and can create another 15,000 jobs, the interest group Logistics Consortium of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
