Construction Sector in RS is Recovering

gradjevinci_640x360The value of construction works in the RS from January to November 2013, in comparison to the same period in 2012, which was a recession year, is higher by 6,3 percent, writes ‘Capital’.

After a year of decline in the construction industry, last year there was some recovery in the same sector.

Statisticians have calculated that the value of construction works in the RS in November 2013, in comparison to the average value of the works in 2012, is higher by 47,4 percent.

In comparison to November 2012, it was higher by 45,1 percent, and in comparison to the previous month by 9,6 percent.

The number of employees in construction sites in November 2013, in comparison to the average number of employees in 2012 is slightly larger, by 0,6 percent, while in comparison to the previous month it is 1,2 percent less, and in comparison to November 2012 by 5,3 percent.

However, the completed effective hours in construction in November 2013 in comparison to the average effective hours of work in 2012 was higher by 0,5 percent, while in comparison to November 2012, is less by 7,3 percent, and in comparison to the previous month by 7,8 percent, according to statistics from the RS Statistics Agency.

After 2012, which was marked by the recession in the RS, over three quarters of last year was marked by an increase in gross domestic product in the RS.

In the third quarter of 2013, in comparison to the third quarter of 2012, GDP had a positive growth rate of 1,7 percent.
