Construction of Six and Rehabilitation of 121 Residential Buildings in Kakanj

kakanjThe FBiH Government in Sarajevo continued signing of tripartite agreements on the allocation of funds to final beneficiaries who have suffered damage in this year’s floods and landslides.

Director of the FBiH Fund for assistance to flood-affected areas and areas damaged by natural disasters Jasmin Jaganjac and representatives of Kakanj municipality signed agreements that enable construction of six and rehabilitation of 121 residential buildings in this municipality.

For this project, the FBiH Recovery Fund allocated 215,890.31 BAM, in the ratio of ¾ for houses construction for families whose homes were damaged in landslides and ¼ to repair the damages to the buildings caused by the floods.

Tripartite agreements are signed by the Fund, municipalities or cities and end users of the fund for reconstruction.

Facsimiles of all of these agreements will be published on the website of the Fund (www.fondzapomocnastradalimfbih.gov.ba), in order for them to be fully transparent and available to the public.

According to the information from Director Jaganjac, in accordance with the Decision of the Board of Directors of the FBiH Fund on awarding and directing additional resources to affected areas from unallocated funds 500,000 BAM have been allocated to the accounts of Tuzla, Posavina and Zenica-Doboj Canton.

These funds will be directed to continuance of the construction of housing units for families whose homes have been destroyed in the floods and landslides according to priorities set by governments of the cantons.
