The industry of textile, leather and footwear in BiH is recording a great progress and steady increase every year, despite all the problems that they are dealing with.

The knowledge and quality of BH producers is recognized by some of the largest companies in the world, and our companies are producing for numerous famous brands from all over the world.

One of the companies that manufactured sports equipment for some of the famous brands was Contessa from Tesanj.

Director of Contessa Tesanj Rizah Ajanovic stated that Contessa started with just 21 workers, and now they have a total of 190 of them.

He also added that around 300,000 BAM was invested in a new production-warehouse facility in 2017, which occupies 700 square meters and new equipment was purchased as well.

Director of Contessa also said that their main export markets are Italy and Germany, but exports can be expected in Austria as well.

He also added that Contessa gained its references through its work with famous brands, including Versace, Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Diadora, Moschino, Uni&forma.

“During our cooperation with these companies, for example, Contessa produced sports equipment for the famous referee Pierluigi Collina, as well as for other Italian referees. When AS Roma was the champion of Italy, their jerseys and trainers were produced in our company in Tesanj, and we also worked for some Premiership clubs, i.e. Aston Villa while it played in the English Premier League, ” said Ajanovic.
