European Council President António Costa begins a visit to the Western Balkans tomorrow to meet with leaders from the region and co-chair the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tivat, Montenegro. Costa will discuss opportunities and challenges related to enlargement, gradual integration, regional cooperation, security and stability.
He will begin his visit in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, June 1, where he will meet with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišta.
“My second visit to the Western Balkans sends a clear signal: the EU’s commitment to that region is real, as real as the opportunity for enlargement. The momentum is here. Now is the time to achieve results,” said Costa on the eve of the visit, the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
