Council Of Ministers Approved Funds For Assistance To Employees In BiH Institutions

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), at the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, adopted the Decision on approving funds from the current reserve for the payment of one-time financial assistance to employees in the institutions of BiH, with the aim of protecting their material position.

For employees in the institutions of BiH, the payment of 1.000 BAM of one-time assistance in a net amount is planned, for which up to 36.5 million BAM has been secured in the current reserve.

“The established amount of one-time assistance will not be paid to the members of the Presidency of BiH, representatives and delegates in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PABiH), the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, ministers and deputy ministers, as well as persons who, at the moment of the entry into force of the Law on the Budget of the institutions of BiH and the international obligations of BiH for 2025, do not have the status of an employed person in the institutions of BiH,” it was stated by the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The payment of the one-time compensation is a consequence of the untimely adoption of the Law on the Budget of the institutions of BiH and the international obligations of BiH for 2025.

“Because the payment of salaries to employees in the institutions of BiH during 2025 was made based on the base from 2024 (600.00 BAM), instead of the base from 2025 (631.50 BAM), due to which employees in that period received reduced income,” the statement adds.
