The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina acquitted Predrag Markočević and Marinko Đukić of the crime against humanity committed in 1992 in the area of Teslić.

Markočević and Đukić were acquitted of the persecution of the Bosniak and Croat population from the area of Teslić – murder, imprisonment, torture and other inhuman acts.

According to the indictment, Markočević was the commander of the Public Security Station in Teslić, and Đukić was the head of the crime service.

Dušan Kuzmanović, the former head of the Public Safety Station, was also tried with them, but a few months ago the proceedings against him were separated due to unavailability, and a warrant was announced.

Their trial began exactly five years ago.

An appeal is allowed against this judgment, Detektor reports.
