Ruling on the Motion filed by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order custody of the suspect Nedim Uzunović, on 8 December 2021 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision ordering the suspect into custody. According to the Decision, custody may last for a maximum of one month, running from the day of arrest, meaning until 6 January 2022, or pending a new decision of the Court. Custody has been ordered due to existence of particular custody grounds referred to in Article 132(1)b) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CPC BiH) or due to the concern that he may destroy, conceal, alter or forge evidence and clues important for the criminal proceeding, and interfere with the witnesses, accomplices or accessories.

The Court dismissed as ill-founded the Prosecutor’s Motion to order custody of the suspect Nedim Uzunović on special grounds referred to in Article 132(1)a) CPC BiH, meaning a flight risk.

Nedim Uzunović is suspected of the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH) as read with the criminal offenses of Abuse of Office or Official Authority
