The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo will pronounce the verdict for the murder of Sarajevo police officers at 1 p.m., the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office announced.

The verdict will be pronounced against Savo Marinković and Aleksandar Macan, accused of the murder of Sarajevo police officers Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović in 2018.

The evidentiary proceedings in that case were completed on November 4.

The third defendant in the murder of Sarajevo police officers, Marko Trifković, was previously sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty.

Marinković and Macan are accused of having been caught attempting to steal a car on Geteova Street in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Alipašino Polje on October 26, 2018, at around 4:20 a.m.

They opened fire on the police officers, firing at least 20 bullets.
