Crnadak meets with Croatian and Serbian Ministers in New York

1000_1474616955crnadak_iv_danMinister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak is participating in the 71st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations which is being held in New York from September 20 until September 26, 2016.

On the fourth day of his stay in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Crnadak hosted ministers of foreign affairs of the countries members of the Central European Initiative at an informal meeting on the occasion of the chairmanship of BiH over the CEI. In his addressing speech, Crnadak thanked the representatives of the CEI countries for their participation in the ministerial meeting of CEI in Banja Luka and reiterated that CEI is an efficient platform for integration into the EU for all candidates for membership.

Minister Crnadak also participated in an informal meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of the countries members of the South Eastern Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP). In his speech, he emphasized that cooperation within SEECP is shoulder to shoulder with Euro-Atlantic processes, which is the ultimate foal of the region, and European Union will never be complete without integration of the part of the southeast of Europe as its integral part, stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.

On the same day, during trilateral meetings of ministers of foreign affairs of BiH, Serbia and Turkey and later with ministers of Croatia, Turkey and BiH, the interlocutors were unanimous in the appeal for calming down of the tensions in the region and emphasized the need for the countries of the Western Balkans to focus on core issues that refer to reinforcement of stability, mutual trust, economic development and EU integration process.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak ended his visit to the 71st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York yesterday.
