Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak paid a working visit to the Republic of Greece yesterday.
In the morning, he met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and Chairman of the Parliament of Greece Nikos Voutsis in Athens, and in the afternoon with the President of the Republic of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, the focus of the conversation were bilateral relations between BiH and Greece with proposals for their improvement, and the process of European integration of BiH as well as further support of the Republic of Greece.
Also, cooperation between the two countries at multilateral level was discussed as well as various issues of regional and wider international importance.
Minister Crnadak emphasized that BiH is interested in the development of overall cooperation with Greece and maintaining of dynamic of exchange of visits that marked the last two years. In this context, he expressed the wish that President Pavlopoulos pays the visit to BiH in next year, he welcomed the recent meeting of co-chairs of the Joint Committee for Economic and Technological Cooperation and B2B meeting of BiH and Greek businessmen in Sarajevo, and invited Greek businessmen to take part in the upcoming Sarajevo Business Forum, as well as all other economic gatherings in BiH.
Ministers Crnadak and Kotzias agreed that the cooperation between BiH and Greece should be intensified in the upcoming period, with special emphasis on cooperation in the field of economy and foreign trade.
Minister Kotzias repeated once again the unequivocally support of Greece to BiH and European efforts of our country, and emphasized that Greece remains a friend of BiH in the European institutions.
