Croatia Airlines is considering the possibility of restoring flights between Zagreb and Mostar which operated twice per week with the Dash 8 turboprop aircraft until the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Following talks with airline officials at the tourism and trade fair ITB Berlin, the Head of the Herzegovina-Neretva government, Nevenko Herceg, said, “The plan is for Croatia Airlines to introduce three weekly flights between Zagreb and Mostar. All the details will be negotiated in the next few months before a final contract is signed”. Mr Herceg noted services could begin as early as May.

Croatia Airlines was previously subsidised on its Zagreb to Mostar service by local authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mostar Airport has been struggling to attract airlines and passengers. It handled just five travellers during the first month of the year, Ex Yu Aviation news portal reports.
