Croatia is sending one million euros to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the support program for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the purpose of demographic development and parenting support. It was published by the Ministry of Demography and Immigration, and here is exactly what it is about.

The goal of the program is to strengthen Croatian families and local communities through investments in preschool education in the Croatian language, preserving identity and encouraging young families to stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“This program shows that our concern for the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not only declarative, but concrete – in actions, in communities and in kindergartens where children learn their first words in the Croatian language,” they said in the press release.

The program provides grants from 10,000 to 40,000 euros per project, and kindergartens and their founders who run programs in the Croatian language can apply. Partners can be local communities, associations and religious institutions, while Croatian institutions can provide professional support without financial benefit.

The call is open from October 10 to November 10, 2025, and the projects will be implemented until the end of 2026.

“This is not just an investment in buildings – this is an investment in the future of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Croatia will continue to be the support and ally of every project that strengthens the family, education and unity of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the press release emphasized.
