Krstičević is coming in a tense atmosphere which was preceded by arrests of ten former members of the Croatian Defense Council in Orašje.

Medial also reported that the Minister Krstičević himself cannot travel to BiH because, allegedly, he might get arrested as well.

Nevertheless, Krstičević arrived in BiH, he crossed the border, and the first question the journalist asked him was how he did it. Krstičević said: “Just as I expected, without a problem.”

Meeting Pendeš-Krstičević is being held in the ethno village Međugorje. Among other things, they will discuss bilateral cooperation in terms of defense, education of members of armed forces of both countries, political situation, and the progress of BiH towards the EU and NATO.

Apart from the meeting, they will also visit the sanctuary and Parish office in Međugorje.

Krstičević said that good cooperation with BiH is the key foreign interest of Croatia. The new Government of Croatia set its focus on BiH and this visit by Croatian officials will pass by in the same tone.
