Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel visited the center of Sarajevo with Mayor Abdulah Skaka.

During the visit, they visited the Cathedral of the Heart of Jesus, the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, the Old Orthodox Church and the old Synagogue, which was converted into the Museum of the Jews in BiH, as well as the City Hall.

The delegation was welcomed by representatives of these religious communities and introduced them to places of worship and provided them with some information on the people who attend religious services.

As pointed out earlier by the Swedish Embassy in BiH, the purpose of the visit to the center of Sarajevo is for the High Delegation to become acquainted with the multicultural nature of the history of Sarajevo and BiH and, in general, how co-existence and acceptance of diversity have become a central element of the city’s history, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.
