Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović continued her visit to the United States of America, and today she met with two members of the US House of Representatives from the Republican Party.

She held her first meeting with Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, whom she emphasized as having a good knowledge of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the wider region.

“This is our second meeting since the beginning of the year, and given the current developments in BiH and the new political circumstances, this time we also had many important topics to discuss. I thank my esteemed interlocutor for always being ready to hear our views,” said Cvijanović.

She then announced that she had held a meeting with Mike Turner, the congressman who represents the district in which the city of Dayton is located, where the agreement that stopped the war in BiH was signed.

“I expressed satisfaction with the balanced approach of the American administration towards all nations, as well as with the fact that for the first time there is also an economic interest in BiH. I emphasized that it is high time for domestic institutions to take responsibility for all processes, without foreign dictates,” said the member of the BiH Presidency.

Tenney and Turner are members of Congress who often deal with issues related to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This applies in particular to Turner, who has met frequently with politicians from BiH in the past year, bearing in mind the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which was marked the previous year, Klix.ba writes.
