Damir DžumhurYoung and successful BiH tennis player Damir Džumhur is a part of the team that will perform at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this year.

Given that the Olympic Games are one of the greatest sport events in the world, every athlete dreams about participating and representing their country.

“This time I am having the opportunity to represent my country in Rio. I am nervous, probably not as much as I will be prior to the match. The biggest team and the best team of BiH so far has come to the Olympics, two tennis players are among them and I think we showed to everyone that they can expect good results from us at the Olympics. I hope we will give that to everyone who supports us in Rio,” Džumhur said.

A tough week is behind Damir. He played two matches in the single of Davis Cup, then three matches in Umag and another one in the German league.

As he says, he is thankful to his family, coaches who are always with him and citizens who follow him in the media and support his every step.

“I express my greatest gratitude also to the Olympic Committee which enabled us to prepare well for the Olympics, to achieve the best results. Regardless of the results we achieve, citizens of BiH should know that we will give more than 100 percent of us. We have always performed wholeheartedly for BiH and we will continue that way, because I believe this country deserves a lot from us, the athletes,” Damir said.
