Zeljeznicar Earnings bhrt.baAfter being defeated by FC Standard from Liege last night (0:1), the Sarajevo FC Zeljeznicar ended its European adventure. The Blues played very well, and in the end just a little bit of luck was missing. Thanks to the excellent plays of the team from Grbavica, as well as some other factors, the team from Zvornicka 27 is on an excellent path to resolve the financial difficulties with which the club has been dealing for a long time now.

From UEFA only, Zeljeznicar earned 630.000 Euros this summer (first qualifying round 200.000, second qualifying round 210.000, third qualifying round 220.000 Euros), and the cherry on top was the transfer of Edin Dzeko to Roma.

According to information coming from the Apennines, Dzeko will go to Roma for 20 million Euros. Of these 20 million Euros, Zeljeznicar will get 3.5 percent, which is 700.000 Euros.

Prior to the match against Standard, Josip Kvesic was sold and the Blues cashed 115.000 Euros. One day before the match, it was announced that Rijad Bajic will go to Konyaspor, and last night the Maniacs said goodbye to their favorite. According to the information in the media, Bajic’s transfer will amount to 400.000 Euros.

The exact information on how much did Zeljeznicar earn from the sale of tickets is not available, but it is estimated that the team from Zvornicka 27 cashed 50.000 BAM from the match with Balzan, 180.000 BAM from the match with Ferencvaros, and 250.000 BAM from the match with standard. Thereby the Masindzije earned 480.000 BAM from the tickets sold in their European matches.

If the transfer of Edin Dzeko and Riad Bajic is successfully realized, Zeljeznicar will this summer earn somehow incredible money for the BH football. All summed up, the Blues have earned 4.140.000 BAM this summer. Taking into consideration the expenses of travelling and the organization of matches this summer, the Blues will certainly have 3.500.000 BAM remaining, which is a really unbelievable amount of money for the BH football circumstances.
