Winter time begins on the night of Saturday, October 26, to Sunday, October 27, by turning the clocks back one hour.
On Sunday, October 27, at 3 o’clock the hands of the clocks should be moved to 2 o’clock.
Daylight saving time starts on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October. Moving the hands in Western Europe was introduced at the beginning of the seventies of the last century, with the explanation that it “extends” the day, enables savings in electricity consumption and increases productivity.
However, today it is often heard that these changes have a bad effect on people. More and more countries are doubting the benefit of moving the hands twice a year.
