Two Bosnian women Amina Cato and Amina Masic have a rare and special talent for seeing the beauty in just a regular things. Namely, they turn old watches and jewelry boxes into the new, colorful and attractive ones. They manage to transfer the love and beauty by using the technique of Decoupage.
In an informal interview with these two women, Sarajevo Times learned that they decided to start this hobby only a half year ago, but still, they are successful at it.
In essence, all the works are made according to customer’s wishes or by their own feeling. Also, when we asked about the time they need to make one average jewelry box, they answered that all depends on the techniques and the material used.
Roughly speaking, they need approximately two days for one watch to make. When speaking about the jewelry box, they need a lot more time, around three to five days.
When speaking about uniqueness of their work, they immediately said in one voice that it is impossible to have two same boxes or watches. On the other side, when customers have a wish to have similar watch or a box that has been recently sold, they can make a similar one, but the same, it is a bit impossible.
For the end, they added that the love for that type of work was born by accident.
