The European Commission made a decision to postpone the introduction of the entry and exit system at the external borders of the European Union, which was supposed to come into force on November 10, EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs Ylva Johansson announced.
She pointed out that three countries are not ready to implement the system by November 10, and according to the media, these are Germany, France and the Netherlands.
There are concerns about the resilience of IT systems, Johansson said at a press conference after a meeting of the European Union’s Justice and Home Affairs Council.
