Delegation of European Commission Visited B&H Prosecutor’s Office

DELEGACIJA EUROPSKE KOMISIJE POSJETILA TUŽITELJSTVO BiHChief Prosecutor of B&H Prosecutor’s Office Goran Salihović met with the Delegation of the European Commission, led by Chief of the Department of B&H within the European Commission’s Directorate for Enlargement Paola Pampaloni. Main topics of the meeting were related to continuation of the structural dialogue on judicial reforms, as well as thematic sessions, which should take place before continuing the structural dialogue.

Representatives of the European Commission expressed their support to the B&H Prosecutor’s office in its efforts to establish the rule of law and activities undertaken for effective prosecution of war crimes, corruption and organized crime, announced the B&H Prosecutor’s Office.

Also, support on activities to strengthen regional cooperation between the Prosecutor’s office of countries in the region was expressed.

Chief Prosecutor thanked representatives of the European Commission for the support in the process of establishing the rule of law in B&H.

Also, the Chief Prosecutor warned representatives of European Commission on the attempts of political pressure, which are very harmful to the B&H judiciary and which are occurring within the draft Law on the B&H Prosecutor’s Office, the Law on Salaries and Allowances of judicial authorities, the Law on HJPC and the Law on the B&H Court.
