Delegation of BiH Parliament at Spring Session of Interparliamentary Union

The Chairman of the Delegation of the BiH Parliament in the Interparliamentary Union (IPU) Drago Kalabić and deputies of the Chairman Nermina Ćemalović and Mato Franjičević will participate in the 128th spring session of the Interparliamentary Union that will be held from 22-27 March in Ecuador.

According to the agenda, there would be an election for the President and Deputy President at the 128th session, while the general debate will be on the topic “Good life-new approaches, new solutions’’, which will try to answer the question of how economic growth could be redirected towards prosperity.

It is expected that the Standing Committee on Peace and International Security will discuss the topic “Responsibility to Protect: Role of Parliaments in Protecting Life”, the Standing Committee on Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade on the topic “Fair Trade and Innovative Financing Mechanisms For Sustainable Development”, while the Standing Committee for Democracy and Human Rights will discuss the use of media in improving citizen involvement and democracy.
