Minister of Economy of Canton Sarajevo (CS), Adnan Delic visited yesterday in Dubai the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Commissioner-General of EXPO 2020 Dubai, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, with whom he discussed the significance and importance of EXPO 2020 Dubai for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), investments and tourism, but also the importance of promoting coexistence and tolerance, both globally and nationally.

Delic took the opportunity to acquaint Minister Nahyan with the fact that both BiH and its capital Sarajevo are the cradles of coexistence and tolerance.

”Sarajevo is a combination of different traditions, cultures, and religions and one of the basic characteristics of Sarajevo is its multiculturalism and multiconfessionalism, which are our civilization achievements built over centuries of living together in this area. BiH and Sarajevo have always nurtured the unity of differences and that is our great wealth by which we are recognizable both in the east and in the west, ” told Minister Delic.

Since Minister Nahyan has never been to Sarajevo, Minister Delic took the opportunity to invite him, accompanied by our Ambassador Serif Mujkanovic, to visit BiH and its capital for the first time, promising him to see little Jerusalem in the heart of Europe, which delighted Nahyan.

Minister Nahyan emphasized that he gladly accepted the invitation for a visit during which talks on the possibilities of cooperation between BiH and the UAE could continue.

During the meeting, it was pointed out that the opening of the diplomatic-consular mission of the UAE in Sarajevo would be of great importance for tourism and attracting investors.

”At the end of the meeting, Minister Nahyan promised that he would visit our pavilion soon, ” it was announced.
