The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Vojin Mijatović met today at the headquarters of the FBiH Government in Sarajevo with representatives of the World Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina, senior specialists for finance and the private sector, Jane C. Hwang, Ruvejda Aliefendić and Tanja Latić.
Mijatović thanked for the past cooperation with the World Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the Project of Recovery and Support for Enterprises in the past two years.
The goal of that project, which the Ministry is implementing with the support of the World Bank, is to support the recovery of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
It was noted with satisfaction that the project “Strengthening the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for the year 2021” worth 1.2 million euros was implemented, and it included 80 beneficiaries.
Also, it was pointed out that the realization of the second part of the project for the past year worth 1.4 million euros, which includes 96 users, is in the final phase.
Mijatović presented the idea of the Ministry organizing a large conference with international donors and creditors.
The aim of the conference is to review the state and effects of invested financial resources, as well as to agree on a joint strategy to rationalize investments and support projects for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the FBiH Government Office for Public Relations.
