A Swede of Bosnian origin, Dino Beganović drove an incredible race in Miami within the Formula 2 Championship.
After taking seventh position in the sprint race yesterday, Beganović finished second in today’s feature race, right behind the Italian Gabriele Mini.
At the end of the race, Beganović was less than a second behind the leader, which goes to show that after 22 laps, the race was extremely uncertain.
Third place was taken by another Ferrari Academy driver, the Brazilian Rafael Camara, who finished two seconds behind the winner Mini.
This was the first Formula 2 trip to the U.S., and for Beganović, this debut was extremely successful. Ferrari shares this view, and they praised the good results achieved by their drivers.
He is now sixth in the overall standings with 21 points. The current leader is the Bulgarian Nikola Tsolov with 35 points, followed by Camara with 34 points, which is the same as Mini, while Van Hoepen and Miyata have 26 and 22 points, respectively.
