Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić attended a working dinner with ambassadors of Arab countries accredited in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the invitation of the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Bosnia and Herzegovina Walid Haggag.
The evening was also attended by the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria Mohammed Meraimi, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait Salah A. A. M. Albannai, the Ambassador of the State of Libya Ahmed M. A. Benghali and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Anas Abdulrahman Al Wasedy.
They discussed the bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Arab countries, with which Bosnia and Herzegovina shares rich historical friendships, and the possibilities of their further improvement through more intensive political, economic and cultural cooperation.
Special attention is devoted to strengthening mutual understanding of the political conditions and circumstances in which Bosnia and Herzegovina currently finds itself, as well as the challenges and perspectives of its further development.
The interlocutors expressed their commitment to deepening friendly relations, with unquestionable support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Komšić thanked the ambassadors for their interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing the importance of continuous communication and cooperation with the countries of the Arab world,” the press service of the BiH Presidency announced.
