Directors of the Archives of BiH and Montenegro signed the Cooperation Agreement

On September 27th, 2023, the Directors of the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Danijela Mrda, and the State Archives of Montenegro, Danilo Mrvaljevic, signed the Cooperation Agreement at the Archives’ headquarters in Cetinje.

The signing of the Agreement was also attended by the Ambassador of BiH to Montenegro, Branimir Jukic, who expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between BiH and Montenegro in various fields, with a special focus on the field of culture, which these two archival institutions manifest with the concrete Agreement, as well as their determination to establish cooperation.

The agreement between the two signatories will certainly open numerous areas of cooperation in the coming period. The exchange of professional experiences, improvement of the archival service as well as joint projects on the preservation of archival materials, organizing exhibitions and other projects of common interest with a special emphasis on projects under the European Union (EU) funds will be the focus of the two archives in the coming period.

The delegations of both archives held several meetings and agreed on concrete activities for the next period. During the visit to the State Archives of Montenegro, members of the delegation of the Archives of BiH visited the building of the State Archives in Cetinje as well as the Historical Archives in Kotor, Klix.ba reports.
