The sister of the late Spanish photojournalist Jordi Pujol Puente is searching for the boy he photographed in Sarajevo in 1992. Do you recognize him?

The mentioned photographer was killed on May 17th of the same year, and in 2022 he was posthumously declared an honorary citizen of Sarajevo. He was killed by shrapnel from a shell, and he was only 25 years old.

He came to Sarajevo on his first assignment as a reporter, working for the daily newspaper Avui, and thanks to cooperation with the Associated Press (AP) agency, his photographs went around the world.

His sister and brother accepted the award on his behalf.

“My brother and I are deeply honored to be here today on April 6th, at the ceremony marking the Day of the City of Sarajevo. On behalf of our parents and on our own behalf, I want to thank the citizens of Sarajevo, the City Council, and the mayor who remembered, and who wanted to pay tribute to our dear brother Jordi for his professional contribution in informing the world about what was happening in this city, in this country 30 years ago,” she said in 2022.

She expressed a wish to meet the boy from the photo. If you know him, contact Sniper Alley, Klix.ba writes.
