Beginning at 8:30 p.m., under the Old Bridge, a preview of Lejla Zvizdić’s feature-length documentary called “The Deepest Jump” was held, which follows the story of the merging of traditional Mostar jumps and contemporary Red Bull Cliff Diving and reveals how they jointly shaped the identity of the city and made Mostar one of the most recognizable places on the world cliff diving scene.

The film features the legends of Mostar’s jumping, including Emir Balić, Lorens Listo and Benaid Kalajdžić, as well as the world’s most successful jumpers Orlando Duque, Gary Hunt, Jonathan Paredes and Rhiannan Iffland.

They bear witness to how a tradition of almost five centuries has become part of the contemporary world sports scene.

“The film ‘The Deepest Jump’ is a kind of tribute to the city of Mostar, which for centuries has brought together people, courage and beauty. It combines local and global, tradition and modernity, traditional jumps and Red Bull Cliff Diving thanks to which Mostar lives a spectacle for several days a year and is in the center of world attention. This film is also a tribute to Mostar and the people of Mostar. From tonight it is no longer just mine, but also yours,” said Zvizdić, who was rewarded with applause by the audience.

After the film, the BiH music group Mostar Sevdah Reunion held a concert. As is well known, this is one of the most famous and internationally recognized bands dedicated to the contemporary interpretation of sevdalinka.

When it comes to the competition program, Thursday (July 30) is the first day of competition within the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series station in Mostar, and the best jumpers in the world will jump into Neretva directly from the stone arch of the Old Bridge in honor of the local diving tradition. The warm-up is planned for 3:00 p.m., while the first round of jumps will begin at 3:45 p.m.

The second day of competition (Friday, July 31) will take place from the platform, so men will jump from a height of 27 meters and women from 21 meters. The second round starts at 15:15, and it will be possible to follow the live broadcast on the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series YouTube channel.
The final day (Saturday, August 1) brings the final “showdown” in the fight for victory. The competition will start at 4:30 p.m., with live broadcast on the YouTube video service, Red Bull TV and Hayat TV platforms.

Let us remind you that for the final day of the competition, a special train was organized on the route Sarajevo – Mostar – Sarajevo. The departure from the railway station in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is at 11:00 a.m., and the return from the city on the Neretva is at 7:00 p.m. A return ticket costs 30 BAM and can be purchased through the ENTRIO platform.

And let’s not forget, after the competition on Friday and Saturday, there will be entertainment in the form of a musical program at four locations, namely Bijeli Bar, Marshall, Lazy Bar Stage on the plateau under the Stari most and Alibaba. The performance of the group Divanhana in the Bijelo bar on August 1st is especially noteworthy, which will additionally complete the atmosphere of the sevdah this week in Mostar.
