Dodik commented on the European Parliament’s Decision on Sanctions

BiH Presidency Member Milorad Dodik said that the European Parliament’s positions on BiH show that European parliamentarians do not know what is happening in BiH, that they have wrong information, and that they are probably informed by the media that have been exclusively announcing war in Ukraine every day for a month now.

He stressed that the European Parliament had demonstrated such a lack of democracy that for the first time he seriously questioned whether European values existed at all.

“I was roughly tried, and no one asked me anything. No one came to Republika Srpska (RS) to see what it was all about. And what’s worse, none of those parliamentarians who raised their hands looked at the BiH Constitution, available on the Internet, because if they had, they would not have taken the positions they took, nor would we hear the qualifications that could be heard,” told Dodik.

Dodik wonders if 504 serious people can think that a country is falling apart because one man is critical of it, and whether they are serious if they think that roses will bloom in BiH only if they impose sanctions on anyone.

“Instead of trying to talk to us, they decided to talk about us. In such conditions, it is clear that the positions of the parliament could not be different. With all due respect to European institutions, I do not think I will give up legal and legitimate political activities in defense of the RS, ” Dodik emphasized.

The European Parliament adopted an amendment to the annual report of the Foreign Affairs Committee calling on the European Council to impose sanctions on BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik and his associates.
