Dodik: Difficult Conflict between Israel and Palestine to end as soon as possible

The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that he expects the difficult conflict between Israel and Palestine to end as soon as possible, saying that “no kind of fan relationship is correct”.

“In the case of Ukraine, America sided with Ukraine, and this time with Israel, and we have already seen the reactions of the Arab Islamic world. All this complicates the problems that are difficult,” said Dodik.

He stated that Hamas is a terrorist organization for part of the world and condemned their attack on young innocent people on October 7 in Israel.

“It is a serious crime that has drawn the attention of the whole world. It is something that cannot be forgiven, and in that respect Israel’s activity is justified in wanting and having to defend itself, but the images of the suffering of children in Palestine are just as shocking,” he pointed out.

He said that the multi-decade conflict between Israel and Palestine “is somewhat reminiscent of the situation in BiH”.

“And we are pushed into something that cannot function by the will of others, not us, to live in an area that has no perspective to function as a state. I believe that we will succeed in preserving peace, that is the most important thing in everything, and political processes it will be ongoing and much more intense,” said Dodik.

According to him, “the USA decided a long time ago to centralize Bosnia and Herzegovina, and make Republika Srpska an empty shell”.

“We are fighting against that, we are fighting for the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some international representatives claim that we do not understand it, that it is not a matter of the Daytona letters, but rather a process. No one from Republika Srpska and Serbia signed that process, but a contract in which it says exactly what is stated in it. The letter of the Dayton Agreement still remains our goal, if that is not possible, Serbia must find a way to continue its existence,” said Dodik.
