The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said that he would be in Moscow on May 9 to celebrate the Victory over Fascism Day, and that his departure was never in question.
“I will be proud. Departure was never in question. The tickets are reserved. It doesn’t matter what the High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security says,” he added, referring to the earlier statements of Kaya Kalas, to which he added that “talks in Russia are much bigger than one of her mandates.”
“It is historically unacceptable for someone to threaten to leave. We are not naive and we know where we are, but Europe is only working against itself in that way. I am not a European leader, I am a Serbian leader and that is why I will be in Moscow,” Dodik believes.
Russia previously announced the arrival of more than 20 world leaders at the Parade on May 9, and at the same time, Kalas called on EU countries and candidates to avoid the event.
“The trips to Moscow on May 9, 2025 will not be taken lightly. The European Union will carefully monitor who participates,” she said.
