President of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said today in Jahorina that according to high representative Christian Schmidt, force will not be used if he comes to the RS, but that the message is that he is not welcome there.
Dodik again made claims that Schmidt was not welcome in the Republika Srpska and was not elected in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and procedures in the UN Security Council, and added that people in the RS are on the edge of patience for this situation.
He said that people are asking him to declare Schmidt persona non grata, which is not possible according to international standards, but it is according to others.
“None of us will use any force, it’s more muscle building that they will try,” Dodik said and added that Schmidt cannot enter any building of RS institutions and hold any meeting in an official place, which is not nothing new.
It is worth reminding that Schmidt already held a meeting in the City Administration of Banja Luka with Draško Stanivuković, and he also visited the Medicines Agency of BiH and the ITA of BiH in that BiH city.
Dodik emphasized that the Republika Srpska entity would not use force against Schmidt, but that for his safety it would be better if he returned and never came again.
According to Dodik, the members in charge of security will protect Schmidt more than use force against him.
“I don’t want to endanger any of our citizens, but I know there is a strong atmosphere,” Dodik said, comparing Schmidt to Šćepan Mali posing as the Russian emperor.
Stating that Schmidt comes from a big country and has the support of the international community, Dodik reiterated that there is no legal confirmation for his mandate as high representative.
“Schmidt is not welcome in the Republika Srpska and its institutions and has not met with anyone since he arrived,” Dodik emphasized.
He said that no one from Republika Srpska will commit any excesses, but that there will be embarrassment if Schmidt tries to provoke Republika Srpska by joining the entity.
“One day we will drive him out,” said Dodik.
The President of the RS said that the property issue had been resolved and that it was invented by “the political bazaar in Sarajevo with some international representatives, and that Schmidt was sent to BiH to, as he said, settle it.”
“The National Assembly made a decision not to accept any of his decisions, not even regarding property. The property has been resolved. It is not an issue on the agenda, it will not be put on the table. Every announcement he makes will be as if it had never been made,” Dodik said.
He stated that, if Schmidt decides to do so, he will write the agenda of the National Assembly, which can happen on the same night, that Republika Srpska declares its independence.
“It is a reaction to an action that is inappropriate, unconstitutional. It is an issue that has been resolved,” Dodik stressed, noting that Schmidt is spreading destabilization in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
When it comes to the recent conversation with the special envoy of the German Government for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarazzin, Dodik said that Sarazzin did not give an accurate account of the meeting, which is why he is considering publishing the transcript of their conversation.
“They act arrogantly on issues that are important to us, not Germany,” Dodik emphasized and assessed that Germany and its officials want to encourage young people to go and work there, since it turned out that the Arabs who were brought in could not assimilate.
Dodik added that German policy is hypocritical even when they go with tanks and political messages.
“The key question in BiH is whether we will allow the engagement of people from outside to solve our issues? In Sarajevo, almost everyone is unique – Schmidt is God, they support him because he is trying to do something. We will see what he will do,” concluded Dodik, Srna reports.
