Dodik, who is sponsor of this event, said to participants among which were a large number of members of the diplomatic corps in BiH, that the main goal of this gathering is the promotion of economic development perspective and a better life.

“Republika Srpska is trying to get sustainable economic growth and it managed to do so thanks to the dedicated work of its people and government. We are all committed to the European path and we are ready to accept all challenges, regardless of the many institutional and non-institutional difficulties and obstacles,” said Dodik.

He emphasized that the RS is a friend to everyone, and he wants to become a friend of all progressive forces in the region and the world.

According to him, peoples and citizens in BiH need to work more and harder, with the aim of general progress.

The progress, according to Dodik, is already visible in the RS, despite the difficult economic conditions and the struggle with the consequences of the catastrophic floods.

He reminded of the key economic and infrastructure projects whose realization is currently in progress, expressing optimism about the future development of the RS, and he mentioned the construction of thermal power plant “Stanari” and the network of highways, for which he thanked investors from China and the Russian Federation.

“Besides foreign investors, domestic investors are welcome in the RS as well. We need that kind of combination,” said Dodik.

The Executive Director of the Association of Economists of RS “Svot” Sasa Grabovac, welcomed the participants and guests and thanked for recognizing the importance of economy for the development of society.

“We wanted to gather local and foreign expert public and decision makers in one place, with the aim of creating the conditions for future development,” said the director of “Svot”, which is the organizer of the meeting.
