Dodik praises Orban as a Leader who ‘understands the Importance of Peace’

Former president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska and SNSD head Milorad Dodik said on Saturday that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban represents a leader who “understands the importance of peace, stability and sovereignty”, assessing that their partnership is based on mutual respect and a common vision of Europe.

The Hungarian Prime Minister received the Acting President of the BiH entity RS Ana Trišić Babić and her party leader Milorad Dodik in Budapest.

In a post on platform X, Dodik, who was stripped of the entity president’s mandate by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that talks with Orban mean cooperation with a leader who, as he said, leads an independent policy despite pressures and enjoys strong support from citizens in Hungary and throughout Europe.

“Our friendship is not protocol-based – it is built on mutual respect, sincerity and a shared view of the Europe of the future,” wrote Dodik.

Dodik recently visited Tel Aviv with Trišić Babić, after which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina reacted.
