In an address at the election of the most successful in the economy of the Republika Srpska for 2022, entity president Milorad Dodik said that he has assurances that the Chinese government has decided to accept RS bonds as guarantees and financing instruments.

“Mostly everyone is facing the West, but since two days ago we have received assurances that the Chinese state and government have decided to accept RS bonds as guarantees and financing instruments. They even offer us to carry out works on the construction of highways so that we issue bonds,” said Dodik.

He also said that they are trying to enter the Chinese market and create an alternative for everyone.

“It is obvious that our choice must be mutual, we cannot remain closed,” said Dodik.

He added that the economy in this entity in 2022 achieved a profit of more than three billion BAM. He believes that it is commendable because it was achieved in unstable circumstances, but that it had a leadership that can respond.

Dodik also asserted that in January, the coverage of imports by exports was 97.4 percent, which is something to be proud of, and the wish is for this coverage to be greater than 100 percent.

Two years ago, the Government of the RS passed a Decision on accepting debt through the issue of bonds on the international financial market.
