Dodik threatens with Secession again because of the Resolution on Srebrenica

A meeting of representatives of the political parties that make up the ruling coalition in the Republika Srpska was held in Banja Luka. It was announced that a public meeting will be held on Thursday at Trg Krajine due to the possible adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica in the United Nations General Assembly.

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik again denied the genocide in Srebrenica, and repeated that in response to the adoption of the above-mentioned Resolution, he would “initiate the procedure for the independence of Republika Srpska”.

“I am proud of the determination to implement measures when it comes to independence. The genocide in Srebrenica did not happen, and if it did, there would be no need to constantly raise this topic. The judgments of the courts refer to individuals, not to the people,” he said. Dodik.

According to him, the plans of Republika Srpska are not destabilization and violence, but political decisions with democratic capacity.

“Our plans are political decisions with a democratic capacity that have legitimacy everywhere and will be applied as such,” Dodik said, adding that he does not expect any consequences.

He assessed that by adopting the Resolution on Srebrenica, “they want to put a label on unborn children and one nation”.

He believes that it is “not a call for coexistence”, but “a call for immediate separation”.

When it comes to the electoral law, Dodik repeated that it will be passed and that Republika Srpska will implement it.

As he said, no election board office of the Central Election Commission of BiH will be open for elections at the local level, and if that happens, he added, it will be eliminated during the day.

SP leader Petar Đokić said that the scheduled public meeting “is an important expression of the will of the Serbian people who do not want to be labeled as genocidal”.

Speaking about the Resolution on Srebrenica, Đokić said that there is a willingness of certain countries to reject it, and that Serbia played an important role in that.

“It is a big deal that there will be a large number of countries that do not support this. The Serbian people are not genocidal and never will be. There are individuals who have committed crimes and they have been convicted for it,” said Đokić.

Đokić pointed out that SP deputies in the National Assembly will support the Election Law of Republika Srpska.

NPS President Darko Banjac stated that it is necessary to restore its rights to Republika Srpska, and that, as he said, the adoption of the RS election law will contribute to this.

Banjac stated “that the new electoral law of the Republika Srpska that will be adopted by the National Assembly of Srpska will be in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution, and will contain basic democratic principles.

Speaking about the Resolution on Srebrenica, he said that “the paradox of that disputed act is that it is supported by Germany and Rwanda, which have committed numerous crimes throughout history.”

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Monday that Serbia will oppose the world powers that are against Serbia when it comes to the resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, which should be adopted by the UN General Assembly in New York.

“Our prospects are not great, against Serbia we have the most dominant world powers from the West, there is not much to hide when it comes to the resolution for the General Assembly. They are all sponsors, it is a resolution of 17 countries,” said Vučić.

The formal initiators of the resolution on Srebrenica are Germany and Rwanda, and they were joined by 15 more, mainly the most influential Western countries and Turkey, which now jointly stand behind that document, which is submitted for discussion in the form of a proposal.

Vučić pointed out that the leaders of those countries want to talk about compromise solutions, but that there is no compromise, and added that their compromise is that the resolution has nothing to do with the Serbian people.

“I answered that I didn’t expect anything different. What kind of hero you have against you, and you will have to fight, and we will fight,” said Vučić, stressing that he was speaking metaphorically, but that it was true that Serbia would oppose them, and that ” stronger than they think,” said Vučić on Monday.

Vučić previously stated that Serbia will use all political means to oppose NATO countries “from Turkey to Germany” regarding the announced resolution on Srebrenica, assessing that “the chances of success are small”, but that he will fight for every vote in the UN .

On Thursday, Vučić also announced that at the beginning of the week he will send a special envoy to the President of the UN General Assembly and request that the UN, on the occasion of the expected adoption of a resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, “well consider the violation of all procedures”.

The working version of the resolution calls on all members of the UN to reject attempts to deny the nature of that crime, to declare July 11 as a day of remembrance for the victims of the Srebrenica genocide, the perpetrators who are still at large, and to find the remains of around a thousand murdered people, who are still being sought. trace.

In the text of the aforementioned resolution, Serbia or Republika Srpska is not explicitly mentioned anywhere, nor is collective guilt attributed to any of them, nor to the Serbian people, as Vučić and Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik wrongly claim.

The resolution commemorating the genocide in which in July 1995 members of the Bosnian Serb army and police in Srebrenica killed more than eight thousand Bosniak men and boys should be presented to the United Nations General Assembly on May 2, Fena reports.
