Republican candidate and former United States (U.S.) President Donald Trump announced a new venture in the cryptocurrency field, “World Liberty Financial,” on Monday.
“Crypto is one of those things we have to do,” Trump stated on the social network X, adding: “Whether we like it or not, I have to do it.”
During a live broadcast, Trump was joined by his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, along with crypto entrepreneurs Chase Herro and Zachary Folkman.
Trump has been promoting this venture since August, although the specific purpose of “World Liberty Financial” remains unclear.
The official launch date for the cryptocurrency project has not been announced.
