Donators Approved 2 Million Euros to BiH for Regional Program for Residential Care of Refugees

ku?aThe Assembly of Donators approved the request of BIH at the meeting on 8 April in Paris for a grant worth 2.035.000 euros to finance the first wave of support for durable solutions for refugees and displaced people in BiH in the framework of the Regional Housing Program.

“In the framework of this sub-project construction material for 20 refugee families from Croatia that are locally integrated in BiH will be allocated, and assistance for 150 families under the system “Keys in hand” will be ensured, out of which 100 refugee families from BiH that are returning from the countries in the region (Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro) and 50 families from the category of displaced peoples in BIH’’, announced the BIH Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees.

The statement also said that with this notice, the Development Bank of the Council of Europe (CEB), pointed out by the financial management of the fund that this is a big step forward in the implementation of housing projects in BiH.

“The transferred praise of the assembly donors to all participants in BiH for the huge efforts they have undertaken with the aim of ensuring funds for the beginning of the implementation project form which housing assistance would be received by 5.400 people, or around 14.000 of the most vulnerable refugees and displaced peoples’’, said the statement.
